Manchester City footballer Yaya Toure has been charged with drink driving, police have confirmed.
The alleged offence is said to have taken place in Dagenham, east London on Tuesday 29th November.
The midfielder will appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court 13th December 2016. Drink driving carries a maximum penalty of 6 months in prison and a £5000 fine. The minimum period of disqualification is 12 months. The football club may also take ‘internal action’ against the player.
