Keane member Tim Rice-Oxley has been banned from the road after driving while nearly three times over the drink-driving limit
Rice-Oxley was stopped and breathalysed by police on the A27. He blew a reading of 101 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
He pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Hastings Magistrates’ Court and received a two year driving ban, a £750 fine, ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £75 and costs of £85.
The defendants guilty plea was taken into account on sentencing and he was given 14 days to pay the fines. The driving ban will also be reduced by 24 weeks if Rice-Oxley successfully completes a drink driving rehabilitation course.
