England rugby star Danny Cipriani arrested on suspicion of drink-driving

M.A.J. LAW
2 June 2015

England rugby star Danny Cipriani has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving following a collision.

Cipriani was breath tested and taken to a west London police station before being released on bail.

The Sale Sharks and England player has not been charged and police have refused to say whether his breath test found him to be over the drink drive limit.

A Metropolitan Police Spokeswoman said: ‘The cars involved were a Toyota Prius and a Mercedes C63 AMG.

‘The driver of the Mercedes, a 27-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

‘He was taken to a west London police station where he was released on police bail.  Return date to be confirmed.’
