What will happen at your first court hearing?
This free booklet outlines the process at your first drink driving court hearing. It discusses the benefits of instructing a specialist solicitor to safeguard your position.
If you have been charged with drink driving, drug driving or failing to provide a specimen, you will probably be bailed to attend a first court hearing. The primary purpose of this hearing is to enter a plea (i.e. guilty or not-guilty). You should also have the opportunity to consider the evidence against you on this date (if it exists). There are a number of reasons why you should not attend the first court hearing alone. These reasons (and other useful tips) are covered in our most recent free booklet.
